LINGOs Learning Platform (LLP) Administrator Quick Start Guide

You're the new LINGOs Learning Platform(LLP) admin at your organization. Congrats! Now What?

We've developed our administrator training based on years of experience in training new admins. This site is designed to help you to get you up to speed quickly.

Three Key Resources

  • We've developed a growing library of tutorials on everything from creating new users to running reports. These just in time, bite sized videos are always there when you need them
  • We host a weekly free webinar, LINGOs Office Hours, where admins can ask questions in real time and get help and feedback from LINGOs staff and fellow members. Sign up for a weekly reminder and mark your calendar to attend, especially while you're new.
  • Our support desk is open 5 days a week 16 hours a day. Can't find what you're looking for on the support site? email support@lingos.org for a fast and friendly response.

The following videos and links to tutorials will introduce you to topics every LLP administrator needs to know. Bookmark this site and when you have a question, start here.

What is a LINGOs Learning Platform?

User Management

Probably the first and most important thing you'll need to know is how to manage your users. Review the information found on the User Management section of this site. You will learn how to create a single user, how to upload batches of users, and enabling the option of self-registration so that users can create their own accounts. An overview video on managing users can be seen here.

Course Management

Level 2 and Level 3 members can manage their own catalogs. This means you can add or remove course and change the look and feel of the catalog as well.

Here's a quick overview.

Five Things Every Administrator Should Know

In addition to user management and course management, the following is important infomration.

  1. You can have up to two registered administrators with LINGOs. Registered admins can email support for help and assign administrator or registrar role to other admins, but all support requests must come from one of two registered administrators at your organization.
  2. LINGOs releases new courses every quarter. Level 1 LLPs will automatically receive a selection of these courses on their LMS. Level 2 and Level 3 admins can choose courses to add.
  3. Stay informed. Make sure you attend Office Hours when you can, that you're signed up for our news bulletins, join the LinkedIn Public and Members Only groups, and attend our free webinars.
  4. Understand courses fees and billing schedule
  5. Support is here for you! Our support team responds to all messages as quickly as possible, sometimes in less than an hour but never more than two buisness days. Make sure you send each problem or question you have as a new email to support. A case will be generated and your issue will be assigned to the person best suited to solve your issue.
  6. Reports: All members have access to reporting features. Level 2 and 3 members can create their own reports in the Report Wizard. Tip: R9001 (found for all members under the "Report Wizard" section) will dump out all course information to date and you can filter your results in Excel.

Remember, Attend Office Hours!

Office Hours is our free weekly webinar where members can ask questions about their membership and get technical help with the LLP and other LINGOs benefits. There is no need to register, just show up on most Wednesdays.
